Guided Trail Rides, Riding Lessons, Pony Pals and Youth Horse Camps!
Guided Trail Rides
Spend an hour or two exploring the scenic Skillet Handle Trail along Kamath Lake. Bring your binoculars as the trail hosts a variety of resident and migrating birds along with other wildlife. Boots and long pants required. Helmets provided. 1 hour, 1 Hour 30min and 2-hour rides available. Schedule by appointment.

Riding Lessons
Private riding lessons available for children-adults (Ages 6 and up) whether you are an experienced rider looking to refine your skills or beginning rider, horseback riding can be started at any age and stage. Please reach out as lessons can be customized to your needs and goals. Packages available. Specializing in teaching horsemanship from the ground up, English / Western and Trail Riding. Pony Pals
Got horse crazy kiddos? We have some ongoing weekly programs as well as summer day camps.
Pony Pals meets is geared towards kids ages 6-10. This 2 hour class teaches all things horse related! Participants learn riding skills along with grooming, horse care and even pony painting! Horse related crafts to engage creativity and supplement learning. $95 per class/participant. Schedule by appointment.
Pony Pal, Jr.
Pony Pal Jr. s is a 2 hour class designed for children age 2-6
A parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the class. Participants learn to groom, lead and safely interact with our mini horses, Teddy and Fabio. During the Spring/Summer and Fall Season, Pony Pal Jr.'s have the option to paint and decorate (yes, paint!) Teddy and Fabio and lead the horses on a scavenger hunt along the trail. All participants receive a horse themed craft to take home and a Pony Pal tee-shirt. $75 per participant. Schedule by appointment.
Youth Horse Camps
All horse camps, including "Intro to Backcountry Horsemanship Skills" located at the Running Y Ranch and Resort.
Kids Horse Camp Ages 6-12, no prior riding experience necessary. $350 per participant/camp session Tuesday-Friday 10-3pm
Spend the day learning horsemanship skills, horse care, feeding, grooming. riding and pony painting! Participants will learn riding instruction both in a small arena and on trail, Games, crafts and all things horsey, Participants are assigned a horse to care for during the week. Boots and long pants required. Helmets provided.
Teen Riding Camp Ages 13-17 Tuesday-Friday 10-4pm $350 per participant/session
This camp is designed for teens ages 13-17. No prior riding experience required. Participants will learn horsemanship skills including safe horse handling, groundwork, basic horse care, horse anatomy, tack and equipment and of course, riding! Riding instruction in English/ Western and Trail Riding. Participants will be assigned a horse to care for and ride during the week. Boots and long pants required. Helmets provided.
